Member Trainings
Equality New York provides monthly training to their members once a month from 7:00PM-8:00PM. These training sessions are needed to understand the theoretical and programmatic components of effective organizing, along with the tools needed to implement a successful campaign in local communities.

Power Mapping for Progress
Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 7:00PM-8:00PM
In organizing and policy, true change happens through strategic planning. Participants will learn how to conduct a power map which will allow them to identify targets that can help them advance their cause. A worksheet will be shared prior to the training.
A History of Social Movements
Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 7:00PM-8:00PM
Understanding history is crucial in moving us forward in the future. Participants will learn about the History of Organizing and critique what worked and what could have been done differently. This training will touch on many organizing efforts but focus predominantly on the LGBTQI movements throughout time.
Albany 101: Who, What, Where, Why, & How?
Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 7:00PM-8:00PM
In order to make a true impact on policy we must understand how Albany and the state legislature works. Participants will learn how to identify leaders, the schedule, how to look up to bills and so much more.
